INFORMATION

Registration deadline: 31 May 2024 Online exam: 07 August 2024 at 6 pm (CET). If you prefer, we can arrange a classroom exam date. This 5-weeks-course is divided in 6 online modules. We recommend at 6 hours of study per week to cover the online activities and read the relevant chapters in the textbook. The course follows a weekly structure, which allow you to work ahead or catch up on the activities and forums. There are no set times to log into the course, as there are no live chats or webinars. The course prepares the student for the WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines examination and is guided by a WSET® educator. The student can contact the educator at any time during the scheduled course should they have any questions. Each week includes a series of independent and/or group activities to help students understand wine label terminology and recognise the styles produced by the main grape varieties in key wine regions. Remeber: Regular access and participation in the course online activities are essential for this mode of study. You are advised to taste a range of wines during your studies. A list of recommended tasting samples can be found in the course specification. You can post your tasting notes in the Online Classroom for review by the educator. Please note: Wines are not included in the cost of this course, and although it will significantly enhance your learning experience, it is not compulsory to taste any wine. The online classes and the study material are standard in English. But you can order extra study material in German for an additional fee. Technical Support: For the optimum experience of the Online Classroom, we recommend that you use a computer browser, namely Chrome or Firefox. The Online Classroom does not support Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge. Entry requirements Minimum age 18 required at time of booking. No formal qualifications are required. Candidates without previous wine knowledge might prefer to complete the Level 1 course first. Students need to have basic computer literacy, internet navigation skills and a good level of English. Examination The 1-hour exam at the end of the course consists of 50 multiple-choice questions. A mark of 55% is required to pass. If you wish to arrange a new date, please contact us via email: office@grapeskills.com at least 15 days before the examination date mentioned above.
