This course offers an introduction to the world of wine and can be completed without prior knowledge. You can use the newly acquired knowledge as a starting point for a career in various areas of the wine industry. But the course is also suitable for wine lovers if you want to expand your knowledge in your own interest.

It will explain the different types and styles of wine as well as the most important international grape varieties. It also covers storage and service and how to pair wine with food. Through various sensory exercises you will learn to recognise the characteristics of a wine. Using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Tasting of Wine®, you will learn how to describe a wine professionally. Upon successful completion, you will receive the internationally recognised WSET® Certificate.
