The WSET wine course for beginners
If you like to indulge yourself in the world of wine to either start your career in wine or you are a wine enthusiast, then the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines course is perfect for you. This course is designed for those who haven't studied wine before and want to receive simple answers for their questions.
We will guide you through the intimidating world of wine and help you understand and learn about wine. It will enhance your knowledge of wine, whether it is to benefit your work in the wine business or to simply learn to appreciate wine. During this course you will be introduced to the main types and styles of wines and how to taste and describe wines using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting® (SAT). Learn the common wine grapes and their characteristics. Grasp how to store and serve wine and how to make food and wine pairing. Let us help you through this program to not only become a wine expert, but also a wine connoisseur.
Upon successful completion, you will receive the internationally recognised WSET certificate and a lapel pin.

The assessment takes place at the end of the course. Assessment is by a closed-book exam of 30 multiple-choice questions to be completed within 45 minutes.
No formal qualifications are required. Candidates should be over 18 years of age (Minors aged 16 and over require the written consent of their legal guardian to participate).
Candidates who choose not to drink alcohol for health, religious or other reason will not find a barrier to completing the course.
