Janina Huber started her professional career in the wine industry thanks to a very special life experience: In 2014, she was elected German Wine Queen and traveled for one year on behalf of German Wine Institute across the country and around the world to advertise German wines.

Immediately afterwards, she joined the events department of a large wine merchant, where she organized and presented hundreds of wine events, often with an international audience. In 2018, she started her own business as a wine specialist with a focus on presentation and communications.

Janina Huber grew up in the Pfalz wine-growing region as the daughter of a winemaker - so wine has always been a central part of her life. In 2012, she began to deepen her interest for the first time and took the course "Anerkannter Berater für Deutschen Wein". Shortly afterwards, she decided to give up her plans to become a teacher (she has studied History, Latin, and Philosophy) in favour of a future in the wine industry - immediately after completing her bachelor's degree, she took the first WSET course in London and spent a few months as an intern in a winery.

This was followed by the experience of being the German Wine Queen and in 2016, she went back to London to complete the WSET Level 3 award. Shortly afterwards, Janina started her Diploma training at the Austrian Wine Academy, where she graduated in 2018 and was awarded this year’s Top Student Award.
